Associate Professor of Voice, Dr. Brady Knapp, is Music Department Chair and  Coordinator of Vocal & Choral studies at the University of St. Thomas in Houston. Dr. Knapp teaches studio voice to music majors, is the musical director of UST‘s opera workshop, and leads the University Singers an auditioned choral ensemble. He is the Director of Music at Palmer Memorial Episcopal Church in Houston, where he leads a nationally recognized, multi-generational, and semi-professional music program. Dr. Knapp holds a Bachelor of Music from Vanderblit University and the Master & Doctorate of Musical of Arts in voice performance from Rice University. An active conductor and clinician, Knapp teaches a private studio of young professional singers, and he is frequently invited to give vocal and choral master classes all over the region. He has served on the voice faculties of Kenyon College, Sam Houston State, Rice University and on the music faculty of the Columbus School for Girls in Columbus, Ohio. Knapp’s choral ensembles at UST and Palmer Church have been featured on several national conferences including: ACDA, AGO, TMEA and the Anglican Association of Musicians. His choral groups have been recorded commercially and publsihed on the Naxos and Gothic Records labels and have been featured on several National Public Radio broadcasts.
